Residential Hydro Price Protection Plan

We guarantee that our average 3-year residential electricity rate will not exceed 4.7 cents/kWh.
Ontario residential hydro customers have the ability to take advantage of Canada Energy's access to low wholesale electricity rates by signing up for our Price Cap Hydro Plan, where you pay 4.7 cents / kWh or less and get 3 years of price protection.

Under this plan you get electricity at the Ontario wholesale market power rate plus 1 cents/kWh. If, however, over the life of your 3 year contract your average price of power rises above 4.7 cents / kWh we will send you a rebate to lower your price to 4.7 cents / kWh. You win whether prices remain low or go up. How can you beat that?

We can offer you this unique product because we are not your utility. However, your utility will continue to reliably manage your physical connection to the grid and bill you delivery charges, regulatory charges, the debt retirement charge, taxes and the global adjustment.

Check out these great features:
  • 4.7 CENT / kWh MAXIMUM
If, over the life of your Price Cap Hydro Plan contract, your average price of power is greater than 4.7 cents/kWh, we will send you a rebate to bring your price down to 4.7 cents / kWh. This means a guaranteed hydro price of 4.7 cents / kWh or less! This price cap is before the global adjustment. See the Price Comparison Sheet for details.
  • 3 YEARS
You get the benefit of the Price Cap Hydro Plan for 3 whole years.
